I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I became a dietitian because I love food! I also looked for a career that involved science, medicine, and helping people.  I want to make food less stressful for you.

Nutrition Interests:

I particularly enjoy working with people with eating disorders /disordered eating and people with all types of diabetes. I am skilled with diabetes technology, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

I am happy to work with you on any nutrition topic that interests you. If food is causing you distress, you deserve to work with someone who can assist you!

Approach with Clients:

Food should be simple and low stress. Any nutrition plan that dramatically increases stress is probably not actually improving your overall health. Nutrition is very important but it is only one component of health. Nutrition changes should take into account quality of life in all areas: social, physical, mental, spiritual, etc.

Weight neutral care is a basis for my approach.  Click here for more on weight neutral care.

2012-Present: Worked in a hospital setting with individuals, groups and medical staff from 2012-2020.

2014-Present: Credentialed as a Certified Diabetes Educator (now Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist)

I love learning and am continually looking to improve my skills and knowledge both professionally and personally. I participate in continuing education, read books and scientific research on a variety of topics to keep up to date with the constantly evolving field of nutrition.
